After visiting the Newseum, we went to see
the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans War Memorial, World War II Memorial,
Washington Monument, etc. We got off the bus at Lincoln Memorial, and for the
rest of the places we just walked, which was a really long walk. But since we
walked along the way, I actually saw something that I could not see by driving
everywhere we went. Those places of interests were so grand and beautiful. The
memorial of each war has its different characteristic. For instance, Vietnam
Veterans War Memorial has a long wall that listed the entire soldiers name on
it. It was really impressed. And
the World War II Memorial was actually like a square. It was divided into two
parts that was Atlantic and Pacific; these two parts showed the different states
were in different teams during the World War II.
Then we went to the hotel to have a rest.
After about one hour for resting, we went to a restaurant that was called Nick’s
Riverside Grill. It was a great restaurant, and the food there was delicious. By
the time we finished our meal, we went to the boat tour to visit the Potomac
River. The night view of Washington was so pretty, and the breeze was cool as
well, which took all the feelings of hot away.
The next day we went to visit the White
house and went shopping to Georgetown. I enjoyed the frozen yogurt at Pinkberry
in Georgetown, it was just a way to amazing.
Since it was raining cats and dogs, it took us
about six and hours to go back to Hun. But I still love this trip after all, and
the great memory of this trip will never fade away.
