Being dared to play roller coaster has
always been a shortage of mine. But since I finally tried the first time in my
entire life to play roller coaster (the basic one without rolling over) when I
was thirteen, I am not scared of roller coaster, I mean, most of the roller
coasters, there’s still a type of a roller coaster that I never think I would
try, that is the turn-over roller coaster. One reason that I am scared of it is
because I am yellow-bellied, yes, I am, and I finally said that. I am afraid of
everything that is antigravity, especially those creepy roller coasters, I
mean; I used to think that who will even play that? And it turned out that I
would play that, after all. This summer, I went to the Hershey Park, which is
located in Pennsylvania, and I eventually tried the turn-over roller coaster for
the first time.
The Hershey Park is really big, maybe as
big as twenty SUIS Wanyuan campus. It is also near the chocolate factory, which
is the factory that produces Kisses chocolate, Wonka candy, etc. It’s actually
been an exciting day after playing so many different items, until I met the
turn-over roller coaster, and my friends asked me to play it. I tried to
convince myself that it was just a normal roller coaster and I could play it
easily, but I failed. It turned that the fear of those turn-over roller coasters
is more than I could imagine. My friends told me that they’ve tried it, it was
ok, no big deal. I tried to smile but I found I couldn’t even think about it. In
the next twenty minutes while we were having diner, I was just thinking about
the turn-over roller coaster. My friends planed to play that after dinner, and
asked if I was ok to plat it with them, and a “yes” just jumped out of my mouth
without thinking. I was regretted that I said so because I was so scared, but I
was also excited about that, for on reasons.
Finally, it was time to play the
turn-over roller coaster. I stepped up the stairs, and I swore it was longest
five minutes in my entire life. My friend Melody held my hand and keeps telling
that it would fine, but I can see nowhere that it could be fine. I sat on the
seat, fasten the seat belt and brought the stuff which could hold us down. I
closed my eyes, like it was the last time I could ever live on this planet. The
turn-over roller coaster started to move, I held the handle so tightly that I
was even shaking. But soon the first dive came, and I could no longer care about
holding it, I was just screaming. However, after several times of dive and turn
over, I found it was not so hard to adapt it. And I started to enjoy it. The
three minutes passed by so quickly, and I found that I was not afraid of the
turn-over roller coasters anymore!
